Hello there! It’s been a minute…..again😃.
This is a quick check-in to see how y’all are doing really. How are you doing today?
It’s been a couple of weeks and a whole lot has happened inside the lab and outside for me (that’s my definition of in situ and ex situ). Tbh, I’ve been nostalgic with the Google Photos app bringing up old pictures from as far as 4-year-old memories to remind me of my journey. The whole of my existence including the known and unknown details is an absolute summation of how GOD IS FAITHFUL.
I wish to share a couple of words as they are coming to me as I write, and I pray that these bless someone out there. May this message resonate with you and mix with faith and the God-given life that raises every “dry bone” to become a living thriving army in you. Amen.
It is the fall season, and it is one of my favorites. There is a signal from fall that welcomes another side of nature. The beautiful foliage catches our eyes and the drop in temperature jolts us to a whole new experience of life in its entirety. It could be the cool weather, woven sweaters, sounds of rumpled leaves under our feet as we walk down a path, or the appreciation for warmth, a cozy space, PSL (if you know you know), hot tea, or the beloved coffee. These elements together bring us to a reflective mode. Whatever it is, fall is a very beautiful season of the year for quality musing. Amidst all the goings and happenings and as we inherently do life, I hope we stay rooted in the word of life, yes, the one that does matters.
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
2Peter 3:8-9 (NIV) (please read the whole chapter for context).
Fall promises
My friend, never for a moment think that you are not loved, seen, or heard by the Most-High God. He is for you and with you. God can be trusted. He is not a man that He will be unfaithful or repentant. He is your beginning and your end. He has gone ahead of you to set things in motion. He is before you as He works out every detail. Do you think God is too slow? No, we lag behind God’s mysterious ways, and we are the one that needs some catching up to do. With God, it is more like “Child, you will get to understand by and by when the pieces come together as they become an unimaginable beautiful bigger picture, the puzzles will not always be puzzling”. He does wonders beyond our human comprehension. Remember He is mighty in battle. Can you see how He is fighting for you and handing over the victory? Begin to claim the win because you are more than a conqueror. The love of Christ is beyond what you can ever make up in your mind. The love is richer, wider, bigger, deeper, longer, and all-encompassing. It is scarily good. It is everything. It is enough. In the moments of life and its intricacies that may make you feel overwhelmed, overworked, underpaid, unseen, anxious, physically weak, alone, misunderstood, afraid, unworthy, and uncertain, (you may add to this list), I hope you look up to the hills where your help comes from, and the doubts will melt into oblivion. Let nothing take God’s place and stay close. Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus (tis so sweet…). God will make good on all His promises to you, one by one (you’ll see, and it is going to be for His glory only).
I raise a hallelujah to Abba father, feel free to join!!
I hope you are enjoying the fall season and the beautiful gift of life. Until next time..🙏.
Special note: Would you give your life to Jesus Christ? He is the way, the truth and the life. If yes, please pray the prayers below:
Lord Jesus, thank you for your death and resurrection for the salvation of my soul. Please forgive all my sins. I choose you today to follow and to obey. May your love and the holy spirit lead and guide my purpose for your glory. Thank you, my Lord and savior. Amen!
Grace and blessings,
Olushola.
