For moms in grad school

For moms in grad school

This Mother’s Day, I thought I should send a note, dear one. Perhaps I could start with “I see you, I’m with you” line. That would be nice to read but it may not completely be as comforting. Obviously, I can’t see you, and I’m not with you.

Here’s what I know, and happy to share though.

The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.

1 Thessalonians 5:24 (KJV).

***

I praise God with you for all His blessings, pure and complete

I praise Jesus with you for all His perfect gifts, precious and miraculous

Holding your little one in your arms, observing with latent focus

For a moment it’s only you two in the world

The bundle of joy you carried with all dedication and all your love

Truly….many are the wonders of our God.

***

Yes, another semester, and with a little one

Clad with the in-betweens of grad school journey

You may spare the details but you know what it takes

A colorful calendar tugging the time with you

Just another hat added to what you wear already

Managing your career and nurturing a baby(ies) alongside

The struggle to be a mother yet productive at work

The days may be long but keep in mind the years are short.

***

Ponder on the love of God that has led you here

Meditate on his love all deep, wide and reaching

You are diligent and you have all it takes

God gave you, and He will help you

Your baby is grateful and full of love for you

You got this! You are tender and strong for your baby

Keep it going, mama.

***

Your tribe.

Oh, find your tribe. Shared joys, jokes, and support are nice to have

A shoulder to cry on or a listening ear

You will need a lot of help, so don’t refuse help

Not everyone will get it, but God has prepared a few for you, and you for a few

Stay thankful for the ones you can pray and praise with – true and kind.

***

Look at you, look at God

Confess the peace of God over your life and journey

Stay intentional

Commit your priorities to God, trust also in Him

Rest in your Lord and Savior.

Stay connected to Him to draw strength.

Rejoice in your God always.

When all is done, don’t forget the state of Being. Just be.

Pull your loved ones even closer, and enjoy the time.

***

Imperfect perfections

Release the expectations to be perfect

Simply be a mother with all the love of Christ deposited in you

Learn from your baby as you teach your baby

Allow the healing process take its full course

Can we stop with comparisons, please?

Accept, love, and respect your body

Trust your instincts and do what is best for you, and baby.

***

So, God sees you and He knows you

He knows you by name not only as mom!

Before you know it, your little one will no longer be as little

Praying for God’s ultimate care on our million little miracles.

Motherhood is a calling whether you are a biological mom or not.

Praying God fulfills His purpose in us as moms to His glory. Amen.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

It’s my first, and I’m still in grad school too! 🫂

Thank you Jesus!

My husband knows my special love for cards, he bombarded me this time😅 (He got one on behalf of our son, which is super sweet)❤️. Thanks to dad too!
Here’s a funny one😄
I’ll always honor my late mom. She was the best mom for me and my sisters. Keeping resting, ma🤍
