Iye mi

To love is to have

to have is to give

to give is to reap

you feed and wean

you share and spare

you live and teach

you discipline and forgive

you mother and foster

you are the auspice for us

at every age and stage, you stay

Iye mi, you go the extra mile

to keep a lingering smile

To reap is to give

to give is to have

to have is to love.
