Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrew 10:25 (KJV).

Dear (grad) student,

I hope this meets you well? The subtle question that lingers in your heart at each breaking point is this “is graduate school a curse or blessing to me?” yeap…I wrote that out! Let’s get it out there and exhale. However it seems, for the most part, we both know you would probably make the choice again (if you belief it is a necessary path in your quest for….you can fill in the blank). Since the established fact is that graduate school is primal for you although, it comes with its pros and cons, let us then speak the word of life.

Amidst countless seminars, unending presentations, overwhelming TA classes, looming deadlines, sometimes irreproducible results, unyielding research, controversial topics, a pending thesis, and dividends of graduate school among others, I pray you know these truth:

You are loved by God.

You are known by Him.

You are blessed.

You have a purpose.

Special note: Would you give your life to Jesus Christ? He is the way, the truth and the life. If yes, please pray the prayers below:

Lord Jesus, thank you for your death and resurrection for the salvation of my soul. Please forgive all my sins. I choose you today to follow and to obey. May your love and the holy spirit lead and guide my purpose for your glory. Thank you, my Lord and savior. Amen!

Olushola,

Grace and blessings.
