Songs from autumn
To them that sings in and out of season
In times of colors, in times of gray
A fallen leaf is no joke
A fall of survival for what’s to come
Breaking down its verdant green
Wearing other pigments brewed in hibernation
The yellows, purples and reds, in preparation for duty
For the times of lack, cold and depletion
When a tree has to live on limited supplies
To keep life cycle going until spring
A tree has taught us to sing
Songs from autumn:
Of a life surrendered to the master
Whatever your will, whatever the tides
We will dance to the cadence of purpose
The beauty of life’s tapestry, well designed by our Lord
Wisdom to joy in season and out of season
The joy that strengthens our soul
And the trust in the faithful God of seasons.

Be encouraged from the scriptures:
17Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
he enables me to tread on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.
Habakkuk 3: 17-19 (NIV).
This is beautiful and well-written. It is so lovely to be reminded of the faithfulness of God through the seasons.
Yes, God is faithful. Thank you, Fola!
